EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES:

  • Elected Student´s counselor of the Master’s in Biotechnology program. Center of Research in Biotechnology of the Autonomous University of the State of Morelos (from January, 2015-2016).
  • Developed a workshop for kids (8-11 years old) at the “9th Science fair of the State of Morelos”. Title of the workshop: “Detectives of the microscopic world”. Where children learned how to build a simple 40x lens and compete finding particular biological samples (from October 19th-21st, 2015).
  • Member of the Organizing Committee of "Biotechno-Biz 2013: Second International Bio-business Meeting.” (150 attendees). I was head of the Sponsorship dept. Gathered 9 commercial sponsors and obtained economic support from 2 Governmental agencies: Sustainable Development Secretary (SEDESU) and Queretaro´s State Government (December, 2012-June, 2013).   • Member of the Organizing Committee of the “First Multidisciplinary Symposium on Biotechnology.” (250 attendees). I was head of the Sponsorship Dept. and gathered 6 commercial sponsors (May-November, 2012). Web-Link.
  • Volunteer facilitator at Fort Worth Sisters International. I helped to organized activities based on the topic of “Innovative leadership” for an international group of students (12-16 years old). Students from Germany, Swaziland, China, Japan, Italy, USA and Mexico. Main advisors: Nancy Smith Marchant and Irene Chase. Texas, USA (January-June, 2011). Web-Link.
  • Member of the Organizing Committee of the “Symposium on Environmental Biotechnology.” (150 attendees). Member of the Sponsorship Dept. Helped to obtain TOYOTA Toluca® as the main sponsor of the event (August- November, 2010)
  • Elected Secretary of the student’s board in Biotechnology engineering at Institute of Technology and Higher Education of Monterrey (July, 2010-January, 2012).
