GRANTS and AWARDS:

  • Selected as one of “100 Young Leaders in Biotechnology from Latin-America 2018”. NGO Allbiotech International. Conference to be held at the Autonomous University of Guanajuato, Mexico (November 8th-11th, 2018).
  • Grant for Master in Science studies (No. 386198). Awarded by the National Council of Science and Technology (CONACyT-Mexico) for students belonging to a certified program from the National Program of Quality Graduate Studies (2014-2016). 
  • First place award at poster contest on the “XVI National Conference of the Mexican Society of Biotechnology and Bioengineering.” Project’s title: "Metabolomic analysis of the GC-MS chemical profiles of the sedative and antiinfammatory plant Galphimia glauca collected from 5 populations in Mexico." Jalisco, Mexico (June 21st-26th, 2015).
  • Third place and alumni vote on “Elevator pitch contest: The wolf’s cave.” Project’s title: “Nanobiotechnology to eradicate Helicobacter pylori from the gastric cavity” Querétaro, México (May 7th, 2014).
  • Second place award at poster contest on the “First Multidisciplinary Symposium of Biotechnology 2012.” Project´s title: “CO2 fixation by Pseudomonas syringae pv. phaseicola through the formation of calcium carbonate crystals.” Querétaro, México (November 15th, 2012). 
  • Award winner at the “Ethic´s and Citizenship Conference from Tec de Monterrey’s Metropolitan Zone.” Project´s title: “Obtaining a natural repellent from Caryophillus aromaticum against fruit flies (Drosophila spp.) and mosquitoes (Culex spp.) applied in the public market of Metepec.” Home care remedies as a way for finding practical solutions for social environmental problems (November 16th, 2011).
  • Academic grant covering 70% of total tuition fees to study Bachelor in Science studies. Awarded by the Department of Bioengineering of Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education (2010-2014).
  • Third place at the State of Mexico’s Chemistry Olympics Competition (2008 and 2009). Faculty of Chemistry of Autonomous University of the State of Mexico. Representing the District high school No. 1 “Lic. Adolfo López Mateos.”
